Harry Trotter’s turn has come

HARRY TROTTER, who has hit the bar on a couple of occasions, can finally work his magic in the opening six furlongs maiden at Dundalk tonight!

Harry Trotter’s turn has come

The Kodiac gelding will be having the seventh race of his life and this certainly represents his best opportunity to date.

He looked all over a winner for most of the straight on this track just before Christmas. Fergal Lynch drove him ahead a furlong and a half down, but it wasn’t to be and the selection was mugged by the late rush of Captain Joy and went under a neck.

Atticus Finch, who showed much improved form here last time when beaten by long odds-on stable companion, Muck’n Brass, is likely to carry them along and, hopefully, Harry Trotter will cut him down in the closing stages.

Eddie Lynam’s utterly frustrating Aragorn Rouge is given a final chance to deliver in the dundalkstadium.com Optional Claiming Maiden.

Lynam has tried a variety of distances with the four-year-old, but he always manages to find a way to avoid success.

A week ago, Aragorn Rouge could not reel in ill-fated Melodie D’Amour and was beaten a length and a quarter into second. It really is a case of now or never for him.

Andrew Oliver’s Mutasareb gets the nod in the ten furlongs plus bookings@dundalkstadium.com Handicap.

He was also in action here last week, batting on well to resist Imprudent Miss to the tune of half a length. This does not look a particularly strong contest and Mutasareb is fancied to make light of a 5lbs rise in the weights.
