Dream Ahead ‘over-priced’

TIMEFORM ratings suggest that Dream Ahead is over-priced at the current 9-1 on Betfair, as the Halifax gurus have David Simcock’s three-year-old 5lb ahead of his rivals for today’s Newmarket showpiece (live on Channel 4).

Kieran Packman, Timeform’s spokesman, commented: “It’s too soon to be erasing Dream Ahead’s high-class effort in last year's Middle Park from memory, though there's no getting away from the fact that he has questions to answer now after two far from satisfactory efforts since, hanging when down the field in the Dewhurst and again wayward under pressure at Royal Ascot on his belated return.

“Given that Middle Park romp came on soft ground, the current going and the prospect of further rain, are clearly positives for his chance.
