Hard to oppose Kilmalady

KILMALADY PRIDE is difficult to get away from in the Irish Life Stakes final at Curraheen tonight.

The selection holds a clear advantage on the clock and, despite a poor draw, has to get the vote to keep his 100% record intact.

A wide margin 28.84 winner on his debut at Mullingar last month, Kilmalady Pride made it three from three in recents weeks, recording back-to-back 29.00 and 28.69 wins.

Clearly on the upgrade, Kilmalady Pride can complete a four-timer.

Kilronan Vieri, who finished with a flourish when a five and a half lengths runner-up behind Kilmalady Pride last week, and Rushmoor Darkie, unbeaten in the stake following 28.96 and 29.12 efforts, rate the main dangers.

Final Contact can also enhance his fast growing reputation by taking the Judicial Pride Stakes decider.

Agnes O’Leary’s rising star made it four wins from as many start when producing a career best 28.49 last week and can continue on an upward curve.

Broadacres Tommy, impressive when scoring in 28.71 last time and well drawn on the rails, reads the obvious danger.

Rathcahill Kate, a 29.81 winner at Clonmel, should go well from an inside slot in the opening heat of the Tote Retention A5 Stake.

Premier Prince, in the wars when second on his debut at Tralee recently, can gain compensation in heat two.
