Jomacomi can hit the target at second attempt
He made his debut over jumps for Charles Byrnes at Kilbeggan in May and was the medium of some decent support in the market.
As it turned out the money missed the target, but Jomacomi ran a solid race to finish three parts of a length and a length and a half third behind odds-on Iktitaf and Mount Grace.
The form is ordinary, but the selection jumped well and stayed on nicely in the closing stages. He can only benefit from the experience.
If David Wachman's Always A Star reproduces her first effort, half a length second to Rumplestiltskin at Naas, she will have to go close in the Irish Stallion Farms' EBF Maiden.
But she ran nowhere near that level at Naas subsequently when over 11 lengths sixth of eight behind Rumplestiltskin.
Preference is for Dermot Weld's Gripping, third behind Cappa Brack and the very useful Briland on this track last time.
Weld may also supply the answer to the Tipperary Town and District Traders' Maiden with Wilderness Bay.
This looks a weak race, but it is obviously a trifle disconcerting that the daughter of Fasliyev hasn't been seen since finishing a promising third to Cappa Blanca and Faint Heart, with Mona Lisa fourth, at the Curragh last July.
Tony Mullins' Emmpat is hard to oppose in the T.I.R.D Novice Hurdle, following a smooth success at Gowran Park last week.
