Katie Taylor hints at future plans: 'I will make a decision on that soon'

If this is it, what a way to bow out.
Katie Taylor closed out her trilogy with Amanda Serrano with a third victory at New York's Madison Square Garden.
In front of a sold-out arena, Taylor triumphed by majority decision to retain her undisputed super lightweight titles.
After the heated buildup and a boiling atmosphere, the contest was comfortable for the Irish woman. She was vastly superior.
“I knew I was capable of a performance like that in the other two fights as well, but I just got caught up in a bit of a war in the other two fights,” she said in her post-fight press conference.
“I am so happy that I was able to stay disciplined tonight, just outbox her. I made the fight a lot easier for myself.” What’s next? What’s left? She has conquered the sport.
“I don’t know. I am just going to enjoy this victory right now. Sit back, reflect and I will make a decision on that soon. But I am very, very happy with tonight’s performance. Just the amount of work we put in over the last few months, myself and Ross (Enamait).
"It was a cruel few months of preparation for these kinds of fights and I am so glad that I was able to showcase what I could do tonight.”
There are few credible challengers for her crown either. Former opponent Chantelle Cameron beat Jessica Camara earlier in the night on her Most Valuable Promotions debut but Taylor had little tolerance for the Northampton native’s calls for a third meeting.
“I think Chantelle has to see if she can sell out a 1,000 seater arena first,” she said with unusual bite.
“I don’t think she can sell out any stadium at all so I think I made her more money than she really deserves to be quite honest.”
The 39-year-old reserved special thanks for the phenomenal support that flocked to boxing’s Mecca. She was asked if they will ever have the chance to see her compete again.
“Maybe Croke Park?”
That retort was delivered with a wistful smile. She knows the prospect of that remains remote. She knows it will be hard to top a night like this.
“That would be unbelievable but as I said in the ring earlier, these people are spending their hard-earned money to come and support me. It just means the world. Honestly, I can’t believe that this is my life.
"I am headlining a show in Madison Square Garden, an all-female card, looking back on the whole journey, what an amazing ride. These are the nights I dreamed of as a kid. To be sitting here again as a winner, I am just so happy. I am so grateful.”
