Paris Olympics, day 7: Everything you need to know

Philip Doyle and Daire Lynch have claimed Ireland’s fourth medal of the Paris 2024 Olympics with a bronze in the men’s double sculls. It also the first men's heavyweight rowing medal ever earned by Ireland at a Games.
In the Canoe Slalom Men's K1 semi-final Kildare's Noel Hendrick finished 15th.
In Marseilles, Robert Dickson and Seán Waddilove were competing in the skiff medal race. The race was stopped twice due to a lack of wind and after the second stoppage the organisers decided to postphone the race until tomorrow.
Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry got their second Olympics underway today. McIlroy is in medal contention after he fired a three-under opening-round at the Paris 2024 Olympics to sit five shots off leader Hideki Matsuyama. Lowry was delayed by a weather suspension but he's finished his round on level par with a round of 71.
It was another defeat for the men's hockey side wehen they lost to Argentina 2-1, despite an admirable display; no quarter-final spot but one more game against New Zealand on Friday.
Ireland's show jumpers are through to their final after a sixth-place finish in qualifying.
Finn Lynch has finished ninth in his opening race in the sailing dinghy class.
Alison Bergin and Zoe Hyde have come home in fourth place in the women's double sculls B final. They finished in a time of 6:55.62, eight seconds behind Australia in first. That's 10th place overall at these Games.
First for Ireland in the women's four B final; Emily Hegarty, Eimear Lambe, Natalie Long and Imogen Magner finish in 6:34.74, two seconds ahead of Denmark in second and third-place Australia.

Brendan O'Brien was at Vaires-sur-Marne to watch Philip Doyle and Daire Lynch win their bronze medal and Ireland's fourth medal to date at the Games.
Maurice Brosnan was following Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry as they kicked off their first round.
In boxing, Algerian Imane Khelif has progressed in the women's welterweight tournament after Itlay's Angela Carini abandoned their round of 16 fight after 46 seconds in the first round on Thursday.
Carini tearfully told journalists that she gave up against the Algerian because she had never been punched so hard before and felt she simply could not continue.
