Áine Donegan underwent a tough test on day three of her Ladies European Tour debut at the Ford Women's NSW Open, where she shot a three-over-par 74 to drop off the top of the leaderboard heading into the last day at Wollongong links.

The Lahinch native, 23, led at the halfway point after some scintillating golf saw her shoot a second-round 63 to move to -11.

Unfortunately, five bogeys from Donegan on day three put her back to -8 in a tie for 8th place, but the Clarewoman still has the opportunity to make a charge and challenge on Sunday.

Hannah Reeves currently leads on -12 after shooting a 66, one clear of fellow Australian Kelsey Bennett. Dubliner Anna Foster lies in 29th at -4.
