Robert Karlsson and Johan Edfors led a strong Swedish challenge on the opening day of the Portugal Masters in Vilamoura today.

Both men carded eight-under-par rounds of 64 on the Oceanico Victoria course to lead alongside Dutchman Maarten Lafeber.
