Rain catches out Americans

As if the weather was not bad enough at the Ryder Cup today, the American team were reported to be hastily buying better waterproof gear.

“It’s unbelievable,” said former Open champion Paul Lawrie when he heard the story. “I assume (the waterproofs) would have been tested and it seems an incredible lapse.”
