Karlsson: Duo take over from old guard

Darren Clarke and Colin Montgomerie may be conspicuous by their absence from Valhalla, but Europe’s Ryder Cup team has two ready-made replacements according to Sweden’s Robert Karlsson.

Clarke and Montgomerie have been on every team together since the Northern Ireland man made his debut in 1997 – Montgomerie also played in 1991, 1993 and 1995 – but were overlooked for wild cards by captain Nick Faldo.
