On 13 under at halfway they are one ahead of South Korea, while joint first round leaders Malaysia dropped back to joint seventh after following up their fourball 61 with only a 75.

Five teams qualify for the World Cup in China in November and as things stand the other would be the Dutch pair Maarten Lafeber and Robert-Jan Derksen, New Zealand and the Philippines.
