Harrington to contest World Matchplay Championship

Padraig Harrington has confirmed that he will be competing in the World Matchplay Championship at Wentworth in October.

The Dubliner will be among a strong field for the event which also includes US Open champion Angel Cabrera, Retief Goosen, Ernie Els and Justin Rose.

Paul Casey will be defending his title at the event.
