Teenager makes mark in Hawaii
Hawaiian teenager Tadd Fujikawa continued his Sony Open fairytale as he climbed onto the leaderboard during his third round in Hawaii.
Sixteen-year-old Fujikawa delighted his adoring hometown gallery with a four-under-par 66 in a testing breeze at Waialae Country Club.
He posted a seven-under 203 total, while Paul Goydos led at 11 under after seven holes, two shots ahead of Charles Howell (eight holes) and Luke Donald (seven holes).
On Friday, Fujikawa became the youngest player in nearly 50 years to make a cut on the PGA Tour.
Anyone who thought he might rest on that that was mistaken, because he came out firing at almost every pin.
An early bogey proved nothing more than a temporary hiccup as he charged back with six birdies in a nine-hole stretch, before a late bogey.
