Cabrera closes in on leaders

Argentina’s Angel Cabrera closed to just one shot behind leaders Darren Clarke and Thomas Bjorn by starting his Scottish Open final round with four successive birdies at Loch Lomond today.

Cabrera, last year’s BMW Championship winner at Wentworth, charged to 10 under par, while Swede Johan Edfors was only one further back after four birdies in his first six holes and tied for fourth with Scot David Drysdale, England’s Benn Barham and Cabrera’s compatriot Andres Romero.
