Irish Open to go into fifth day
The Nissan Irish Open will go into a fifth day after heavy rain caused play to be suspended during Sunday’s final round.
Play will resume at around 9.15am tomorrow with Darren Clarke holding a two-shot lead at Carton House.
Officials had hoped to complete the the €2.2m event before a forecast spell of bad weather this afternoon, but persistent rain saw the Colin Montgomerie-designed course becoming waterlogged.
