Els wins shot award

On the eve of his bid for a third US Open title Ernie Els has become the first player to win the European tour’s RBS Shot of the Month Award in successive months since it began two years ago.

Els, the March winner for his closing six-iron to set up eagle at the Dubai Desert Classic, has claimed the April prize for his four-iron second shot from the rough and behind trees to within inches of the hole for an eagle three during a second round 62 in the BMW Asian Open.
