Lawrie leads in Wentworth

Ireland’s Peter Lawrie led the way in more senses than one when the £2.7m (€3.9m) BMW Championship began at Wentworth today.

Teeing off at 7am in the first group of the day, the 31-year-old Dubliner came in just over four hours later with a five-under-par 67 to set a stiff target for the rest of the star-studded field.
