Montgomerie to make February return

Ryder Cup hero Colin Montgomerie will be chasing his first win in almost a year when he lines up in the Heineken Classic at Royal Melbourne from February 3-6.

The seven-times European money list winner last tasted victory at the Masters in Singapore in March.

He has agreed to join a powerful field that includes world number two Ernie Els, Nick Faldo, Thomas Bjorn and Australians Adam Scott, Greg Norman, Craig Parry and Stuart Appleby.
