Padraig Harrington could well choose to miss the European tour’s flagship event, the Volvo PGA championship at Wentworth, next year.

The £2m (€3.14m) event was the only one in which Harrington missed the halfway cut all this season and in seven attempts he has never had a top 10 finish.
