Woods to make Dubai return
World number one Tiger Woods has confirmed he will compete in the 2003 Dubai Desert Classic on the European Tour.
Woods will head the field at the Emirates Golf Club’s Majlis Course for the second time in three years from March 6-9 next year.
“It’s taken us two years to get around my schedules and confirm that return trip to Dubai,” said Woods.
“Now it’s confirmed, I’m really looking forward to getting back there and meeting up with the thousands of golf fans who gave me such a great reception and treated me so well last time.”
On his last trip to Dubai in 2001 Woods attracted sell-out crowds but lost out to Thomas Bjorn after an epic four-day head-to-head battle with the Dane.
