New Zealand’s Grant Waite leads the USPGA Championship heading into round two today after carding a six-under-par opening-round 64 yesterday.

New Zealand’s Grant Waite leads the USPGA Championship heading into round two today after carding a six-under-par opening-round 64 yesterday.

Grant leads by two shots from a group of 10 golfers, including David Duval, Phil Mickelson and Niclas Fasth.

Ireland’s Paul McGinley is a further two shots behind on two under par, with Darren Clarke on three over and Padraig Harrington on five over.

Defending champion Tiger Woods had a bad opening round and is also on three over.
