Irish Examiner becomes official media partner to the 3 Irish Open

THE Irish Examiner will be the official Media Partner to the 3 Irish Open at Killarney on the August Bank Holiday weekend (July 29-August 1).

The country’s leading newspaper for sport has inked a deal with the European Tour to further enhance the status of the tournament as it returns to Kerry for the first time in almost 20 years.

The media partnership will see the Irish Examiner strengthen our support of the 3 Irish Open with a series of exclusive interviews and stories in the build-up to the event, as well as adding a new dimension to the coverage of the tournament itself.

“The Irish Open has always been one of the marquee events on the European tour schedule and with an innovative and committed sponsor such as ‘3’ on board, and a venue like Killarney providing a fitting stage, all the key elements are now in place for a memorable four days,” said Irish Examiner sports editor, Tony Leen.
