‘Delighted’ Poulter to end Wentworth boycott

IAN POULTER has followed Pádraig Harrington in ending his boycott of the European Tour’s flagship BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth.

Like Harrington, who announced his participation after practising on the new-look West Course last Friday, Poulter has stayed away the last two years because of the state of the greens.

All 18 have now been changed and the European Tour money list leader, winner of the World Match Play in Tucson on February, said: “I am delighted to be playing again. It is a great championship and I am looking forward to checking out the modifications to the West Course which Ernie (Els) has undertaken.
