Pa Doyle sees progress and regret in Cork 2026 campaign

Doyle believes the importance of kick-outs is growing but "it's not the be-all and end-all".

Even if a significant opportunity was missed to reach the last four of the football summer, Cork goalkeeper Pa Doyle is adamant that the group reached a “new level” this year, and must again push higher in 2027.

Cork’s 2026 season was a strong contrast of Division 1 promotion and back-to-back championship wins over Meath and Donegal set against the disappointment of both defeat and gross underperformance in the Munster decider and All-Ireland quarter-final.
