Conor Cleary and David McInerney have been named to start for Clare in Sunday’s All-Ireland SHC semi-final against Limerick.

Cleary had to retire with an eye problem in the win over Dublin and McInerney was replaced with a leg injury close to the end of the game in Thurles last Saturday week.

However, both have been included in an announced side that shows no changes to the team that commenced the victory in FBD Semple Stadium.

There is also good news for Clare in the substitutes list as David Reidy has recovered to be among the replacements.

The Éire Óg, Inis man required lengthy medical attention following a foul by Dublin’s Brendan Kenny, which saw him sent off.

Aron Shanagher is also in the squad.

From the team that lost to Limerick by 15 points in Ennis in May, Reidy and Rory Hayes are the two absentees.

McInerney and Shane Meehan are the changes for them, while there are a host of positional switches from that game when Cathal Malone was wing-back and Darragh Lohan was selected in midfield.

Meanwhile, Galway’s Rory Burke has not been able to shake off his hamstring injury to face Cork on Saturday. Burke had a repeat of the setback when seeing up his team's opening goal against Dublin in last month’s Leinster SHC final victory.

Burke and Cian Daniels are the absentees from that game and in come Joshua Ryan and Gavin Lee.

Clarinbridge’s Lee replaced Daniels in the provincial decider while Ryan came on when Ronan Glennon suffered an injury. Daniels is a substitute.
