As soon as David Reidy arrived into the action in the 66th minute of Sunday's Munster SHC final, Gearóid Hegarty initially appeared to think he was going off. Except he wasn’t. Reidy was taking up Hegarty’s position and Hegarty was pushed into the full-forward line, with Shane O’Brien being hauled ashore from a raging ocean of chaos and suffocating tension.

Within seconds, Cian Lynch broke through the centre and passed to Adam English who slipped the pass to Hegarty. He didn’t take the ball into his hand, taking one touch before letting fly. Patrick Collins got his body in front of the shot to make a brilliant safe and deflect it out for a ’65, which Diarmaid Byrnes converted.
