Current All-Star goalkeeper Nickie Quaid is a major doubt for Limerick’s 2025 season after suffering a tear to an anterior cruciate ligament.

Limerick GAA confirmed on Sunday that the Effin man suffered the setback. The statement read: “The Limerick senior hurling management wish to confirm that Nickie Quaid underwent a scan on Friday last that confirmed he has suffered an ACL injury. We wish Nickie the very best in his recovery and assure him of our total support in the coming months.”
