Cathal Doyle ready for another 'dog fight' with rival Coscoran in drive for five 

The 28-year-old has won the last four men’s 1500m titles at the 123.ie National Track and Field Championships.

The nerves will come. They always do. The difference this year is that Cathal Doyle has taken steps to address them, speaking to someone who taught him how to channel them in key moments – making them act as his servant rather than his master.

“That's probably something I did struggle with in the past,” admits the 28-year-old Dubliner, who has won the last four men’s 1500m titles at the 123.ie National Track and Field Championships. His drive for five will play out in Santry tomorrow evening, the men’s 1500m final likely throwing up a clash with Andrew Coscoran.
