St Anthony’s ran out winners of the H1 final in the day's first contest, but it was far from plain sailing for the Ballinlough boys for the majority of the game.
If only for a Lee Kelly hat-trick for Anthony’s things may have been a lot different on the day.
St Anthony’s William Flanagan put the first score on the board after six minutes, Cameron Creedon following up a minute later with their second from a tight angle.

Fionn O’Leary duly pulled one back for Beaumont but Anthony’s had the perfect response. Lee Kelly’s beautifully floated pass found the hands of Creedon who smashed it into the roof of the net on the 10 minute mark.
Disaster struck once more for Beaumont when Maurice Kelly found himself one-on-one with keeper Max Higgins. Kelly rounded Higgins and placed it into an empty net to extend the Anthony's advantage to six before the break (0-2 2-3).
Anthony’s couldn’t have started the second period any better. A long, looping ball into the square from Lee Kelly ended up in the Beaumont net after Maurice Kelly obstructed keeper Max Higgins’ view.
It was proving an uphill battle for Beaumont at this point but they would give themselves every chance of a comeback when Donnacha McCarthy found the net after 26 minutes.

A couple of Kieran Stack points - one before the goal, one after - meant it was far from finished.
Beaumont battled and battled but two Lee Kelly goals in the space of a minute meant it was all but over with six minutes remaining. A Daithi Hurley goal in the last few seconds rounded out a performance for Beaumont to be proud of.
D Hurley 1-1, D McCarthy 1-0, K Stack 0-2 (1f, 1 65), F O’Leary 0-1.

It was a case of late late drama in the second game of the day as St Finbarr's Bantry scored a last gasp goal in the 4th minute of added time to clinch the H3 title.
Scoil Eoin were ahead by two points going into the dying moments but Killian O’Sullivan smashed home a free from close range to win it at the death for Finbarr's.
Conor O’Mahony opened the scoring for St Finbarrs with a well taken point after 3 minutes. The contest went scoreless for 10 minutes until Cillian O’Donovan levelled things up for Scoil Eoin after.
A couple of Calvin O’Brien points plus a Killian O’Sullivan point meant Finbarrs would end the half on a high, despite it being a very evenly contested first half (0-1 0-4).
Scoil Eoin flew out of the gates for the second period. Cillian O’Donovan, proving to be the danger man, hit his opponent with a point-goal combo in a three minute period helping Scoil Eoin to take the lead for the first time.

Conor O’Mahony drew the game level once again for Finbarrs with a score from a difficult angle. The sides weren’t level for long though, Luke O’Donovan had the ball in the Finbarrs net for Scoil Eoin’s second goal three minutes from the end of normal time.
It looked at this point like it was all going Scoil Eoin’s way but a point from Eoin McCarthy breathed life into the Finbarr's revival and then came the free with seconds remaining. O’Sullivan dispatched and Finbarr's drove home with the silverware.

Aghada emerged narrow winners against Kilcredan in the DH4 final, thanks to the prowess of Eolann Deane, who scored 1-5 in a player of the match performance.
The sides were neck-and-neck going into the final few minutes but a Bobby Creedon point five minutes from time sealed the deal for East Cork lads.
Aghada broke the deadlock after four minutes thanks to Deane. However, points from Seán O’Connell and Cillian O’Keefe put Kilcredan into the lead soon after.
Their lead didn’t last long. Racing through clean on goal, Conor O’Neill was taken down in the square for a clear penalty which Deane dispatched with aplomb.
Seán O’Connell nicked his second score of the game after 11 minutes bringing the deficit down to one but Bobby Creedon made sure Aghada had some breathing space going in at the break with a well taken point before the whistle (0-3 1-2).
Eolann Deane brought his tally for the day to 1-2 from a 65. With the game so tight at this stage every swing of a hurley was vitally important.
After such a tight and cagey contest, daylight was finally starting to show between the sides. Deane contributed two more, splitting the posts for both off his favoured right side and opening up a five point lead for Aghada.
Killian Kissane made sure there was something still to fight for for Kilcredan with a cracking goal just outside the square on the 30 minute mark.
The final 10 minutes were really tit-for-tat. Sean O’Connell did his duty again for Kilcredan, his point bringing it to a one score game. Deane then cancelled it out with his fifth point of the game. Kilcredan’s Darragh O’Sullivan added another to make Aghada sweat but a Bobby Creedon point with five minutes of normal time to go was enough to seal the win.
K Kissane 1-0, S O’Connell 0-3, C O’Keefe and D O’Sullivan 0-1 each.
E Deane 1-5 (1f, 1 65), B Creedon 0-2.

Berrings won the day’s final contest with Emma O’Mahony’s brilliant display helping her school to the DC2 trophy.
Despite a brilliant second half goal from Glounthane’s Rose O’Shaughnessy, the spoils belonged to Berrings who scored two magnificent goals of their own and just about proved the better of the two sides on the day.
There was little between the sides in terms of quality though, both fighting tooth and nail for every ball, with some interesting battles around the middle of the park.
Emma O’Mahony’s opened her account after seven minutes, blasting a ball along the turf through a sea of Glounthane players and into the net.
The forward scored two more points before the quarter-hour mark, both well taken scores off her right side. Berrings would go in 1-2 to 0-0 at the break.
Rose O’Shaughnessy gave Glaunthane the dream start to the second half, finding the net a minute into the restart when she pounced on a loose ball in the area.
Five minutes later the ball was in the net again, this time from Berring’s Doireann O’Callaghan who got her hurley to the sliotar in goalmouth scramble and steered it into the net.
Mary Kate Desmond scored perhaps the point of the game, surrounded by three Glounthane defenders, her ambitious effort out wide split the posts to give Berrings a six point lead with five minutes to go.
Emma O’Mahony and Hazel Murray would wrap it up late on, O’Mahony putting one over from close range and Murray scoring impressively from a 65 with a minute left on the clock.
R O’Shaughnessy 1-0.
E O’Mahony 1-3, D O’Callaghan 1-0, MK Desmond 0-1, H Murray 0-1 (1 65).
