The Munster SFC final will not be played in TUS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday week.
The staging of the Great Limerick Run in the city means the Clare-Kerry game with a 1.45pm throw-in will have to be arranged for elsewhere.
The Munster Council’s competitions control committee will discuss the matter with Clare and Kerry in the coming days with a coin toss between Cusack Park and Fitzgerald Stadium being a possibility.
The Great Limerick Run last year forced the Munster Council to move the Limerick-Clare game from Sunday, April 30 to the day before, which pushed the game from RTÉ to GAAGO.
The last seven Clare-Kerry provincial deciders have been played in Limerick – 2023, 2000, 1997, ’92, ’41, ’37, and ’36. The 1929 final took place in Killarney. Two years before that, they met in Kilrush’s The Cricket Field otherwise known as Captain Tubridy Park.
