Hannon named in Limerick team
Teenager Declan Hannon will make his Championship debut for Limerick in Saturday's All-Ireland SHC second phase qualifier against Wexford at the Gaelic Grounds (throw-in 5pm).
Hannon, who was called into the squad at the start of the year, was unavailable for Limerick's Munster semi-final clash with Waterford as he was sitting his Leaving Cert exams in Árd Scoil Rís.
The Adare clubman has been named at wing forward, with Richie McCarthy making way. Notably, Hannon will have his former teacher Niall Moran alongside him on the 40.
Manager Donal O'Grady has made two changes to the side that lost to the Déise, with the other alteration an enforced one in defence.
David Moloney takes over at right corner back from Damien Reale, who injured his knee in a recent club match. The same switch took place during the second half of the Waterford game.
Sean Tobin and Kevin Downes, who both made their Championship bows last time out, have been retained in the full-forward line.
These two counties have only met on six occasions in the Championship with Wexford having won four to Limerick's two. They last clashed in the 2009 qualifiers when the Shannonsiders won by 1-13 to 0-14.
