Cork stick with the same team
Having impressively claimed their second win of the All-Ireland SHC qualifier series last weekend, Cork manager Gerald McCarthy has named an unchanged team for tomorrow's third and final qualifier against Tipperary (Semple Stadium, throw-in 7pm).
McCarthy certainly has his squad up to championship pace if last week's 1-27 to 0-11 throttling of Offaly is anything to go by.
The Rebels used all five of their substitutes in both of their qualifier wins over Dublin and Offaly, with McCarthy admitting last week: "We have worked hard this year in getting the standard of our substitutes up to championship pace and that process continued (against Offaly)."
Cork's bench could have a big influence tomorrow as they look to qualify for the All-Ireland quarter-finals as Group 1B winners and book a date with Wexford.
McCarthy's decision not to tamper with his team means corner backs Shane Murphy and Cian O'Connor hold onto their spots, having deputised for the injured Brian Murphy and Shane O'Neill last week.
Tom Kenny (hamstring) and Niall McCarthy (ankle) continue their recoveries from injury so the midfield and attack remains the same.
Cork's top scorers Joe Deane and Ben O'Connor, who have registered 0-23 and 0-21 respectively in this year's championship to date, will be hoping to exploit a Tipperary defence missing injured duo Paul Curran and Diarmaid Fitzgerald and also Paul Ormonde, who quit the panel earlier this week.
