The Central Council of the GAA are currently meeting at Croke Park to discuss the leagues for 2007/2008 in both football and hurling.

Seven of the eight motions in relation to the championships were adopted - this sees the inclusion of teams from South Dublin and Fingal take part in the Christy Ring Cup and Nicky Rackard Cup respectively.
