Colin Lynch has recovered from an ankle injury to be named in the Clare team to take on Kilkenny in Sunday's All-Ireland SHC semi-final (Croke Park, throw-in 4pm).

The Kilmaley midfielder returned to training last week after damaging his ankle in the quarter-final defeat of Wexford, giving manager Anthony Daly a sizeable boost.

Lynch's return means Daly has been afforded the chance to name an unchanged team for the third game running, following impressive wins over Offaly and Wexford.

The former All-Ireland-winning skipper has made one positional switch from the 12-point victory over Wexford, with Derek Quinn and Tony Griffin swapping corners in the full-forward line.

Sunday's tie marks Clare's second semi-final appearance in the space of 12 months. They lost by a point to eventual champions Cork last season.

Should they beat the Cats, Daly's men would ensure a first ever All-Ireland final between Clare and Cork, and a first all-Munster final since their 1997 win over Tipperary.

CLARE (SHC v Kilkenny) - D Fitzgerald; G O'Grady, B Lohan, F Lohan; B O'Connell, S McMahon (capt), G Quinn; J Clancy, C Lynch; D McMahon, T Carmody, N Gilligan; T Griffin, A Markham, D Quinn.
