Down footballer denies signing AFL contract
Down GAA star Martin Clarke has yet to decide whether to accept an offer of a professional contract from Australian football side Collingwood.
Martin, who returned home from Australia last night, had a five-week trial for the AFL side.
He has confirmed that he was offered a professional deal, and was very impressed with the club.
He said he needs time to consider the contract, and will be talking about the offer with family and friends over the coming months.
Martin's only concern at present is to get back playing football for his club An Riocht, who open their Championship campaign next Friday evening against Bryansford.
