Interpro fixtures announced

The GAA has today revealed details of the dates and venues for the forthcoming M Donnelly Interprovincial Championships in both football and hurling.

The hurling final will be played in Boston this year at Aidan McAnespie's Gaelic Football Club in Canton on Sunday, November 6.

The semi-finals will take place in Loughrea and Belfast on Sunday, October 23. Reigning champions Munster, gunning for a 45th title, have been drawn to face Ulster in Casement Park.

Twelve months ago, it was the turn of the footballers to play abroad as Ulster beat Leinster 1-13 to 1-8 in the Paris final.

The northerners, managed once again by Brian McEniff in 2005, get their Interpro campaign underway against Munster in a Crossmaglen semi-final clash on Sunday, October 30.

They previous night will see Leinster meet with Connacht under the Parnell Park floodlights.

If former Louth boss Val Andrews can guide Leinster through to the November 13 final (venue tbc) and an eventual championship win, then the eastern province will draw level on 27 titles apiece with Ulster.
