O'Dwyer calls for rules rethink
Mick O'Dwyer has called for a change in the new experimental sin-bin rule as he watched six of his players being sent to the line for 10 minutes during yesterday's O'Byrne Cup victory over Offaly.
In the aftermath of the game O'Dwyer, who helped to draft the new rules, called for the 10-minute period to be reduced to five minutes.
O'Dwyer's men beat Offaly by two points at Portlaoise, with the accuracy of Pauric Davis from the spot proving instrumental.
Goals from Noel Garvan and Padraig McMahon helped the O'Moore men to their first O'Byrne Cup win under O'Dwyer.
