Whelahan to continue dual role with Birr

Successful Birr boss Pat Joe Whelahan will continue to manage the Offaly champions despite taking on the Limerick senior hurling manager's position.

Birr were stripped of their Leinster title on Sunday meaning the end of their quest for a third All-Ireland win in a row but Whelahan will return for more.
