Milltown-Castlemaine power to victory

It took 10 minutes for the game’s first score from Keel’s Gary Sayers but Milltown/Castlemaine soon got a grip of proceedings with a good goal from Cathal Moriarty, giving them a 1-4 to 0-1 lead after 20 minutes.
It took a decent save from Keel goalkeeper Gary Flynn to stop defender Paul Carroll scoring a second soon after.
The lead would be 1-6 to 0-4 at the break as Keel struggled to break down a tight, defensive unit from their opponents throughout as Donal Kelliher, Mike Burke, John Blennerhassett and Moriarty impressed for the victors. Club stalwart Ian Twiss scored two points for Milltown/Castlemaine in his final competitive match as the Division One side won their fifth district title in the space of eight years.
