Limerick keep big names in reserve
As expected, Allen has gone with the same starting 15 that lined out in the historic Munster final victory over Cork last month.
The Cork native is once again holding big names Shane Dowling, Niall Moran and Kevin Downes in reserve.
The trio have made massive impacts off the bench in Limerick’s previous two outings — against Cork and Tipperary in the successful Munster championship campaign.
The trio managed 0-6 between them after coming on in the Cork game, while Dowling hit two points and Moran another in the closing stages of the Tipperary win.
There had been injury concerns surrounding Seanie Tobin, Paudie O’Brien, Dowling and Downes but Tobin and O’Brien are named to start, with former Harty Cup winning stars Dowling and Downes on the bench.
Meanwhile, Limerick minor boss Brian Ryan has made two changes for Sunday’s Electric Ireland All-Ireland minor hurling semi-final against Galway.
There is a switch is in the full-back line, where Stephen Cahill is replaced by Michael Casey and Darragh Kennedy replaces Jamie Butler in midfield.
Galway are unchanged from the team that started against Laois.
