Cadogan to face Cats, but not Dubs

CORK dual star Eoin Cadogan will not play in Saturday night’s Allianz NFL clash against Dublin. The Douglas man will instead line out with the hurlers against Kilkenny at Nowlan Park on Sunday afternoon.

He explained: “The two managers sat down and had a chat about my situation. They decided it would be best for me to play with the hurlers this weekend. Both have been very accommodating and have facilitated me in every way possible with regard to playing with both teams. And I have no problem with whatever decision they come to.”

This is the first of three double weekends facing Cadogan. On Saturday, March 12, Counihan’s troops host Down at Páirc Ui Rinn, while a day later Walsh’s charges face an away trip to Waterford. On Sunday April 3 there is a clash of fixtures with the footballers away to Mayo, and the hurlers travelling to Wexford.
