When Aidan Walsh broke through and unleashed a blistering drive goalwards, Down goalkeeper Gavin Joyce could only parry it and it was the tireless O’Driscoll who the ball fell to.

“When Aidan took the shot, I couldn’t believe it came to me. The goalkeeper was unlucky not to hold it but it broke for me and I pulled on it as hard as I could. When you’re two yards out you’re just praying you won’t miss. You swing at it and hope for the best, and this went to the back of the net.
