Carrigdhoun statement

THE Carrigdhoun GAA Board last night released a statement addressing a recent letter that had been circulated to some clubs within the division from a John Lynch, who is purporting to be a 'Divisional Coordinator' and claims that Cork was not represented at the National Club Forum in Croke Park in April.

Chairman John Twomey stated: “Firstly I must point out that the only body entrusted with the affairs of CLCG in the Carrigdhoun Division is The South East Board.

“I wish to point out that Cork were represented at this Club Forum by a delegation of seven people and two of this Delegation were from the South East Division.

“Cork's attendance can be independently confirmed and the former Minor Board chairman, Mr. Don Hegarty, who was one of the organisers of the Forum, will also acknowledge Cork’s attendance and participation.”
