Kennedy enjoys life ‘in a different universe’ as Loughmore relish victory

An All-Ireland winner with Tipperary in 2001, rarely has Kennedy enjoyed an hour as dominant as this, never has he enjoyed such a season, not even in 2001.

“This is way beyond that, a different level altogether. With Tipperary every year, no matter how bad things are going you expect to get to Croke Park, you’d be hopeful of getting to an All-Ireland final, and you’d dream of winning it. With Loughmore, you don’t expect any of that. You’d be hoping to win the Mid title, maybe compete in the county championship. That’s the way it was for us for the last few years. This year we didn’t expect to win the county final, we certainly didn’t expect to win Munster, didn’t expect to be hurling at this time of the year – this is a different universe,” he said.
