‘We needed to get over the line’

SEAN O’SULLIVAN has admitted that the pain of defeat to Cork in the Munster final replay has been the launch pad for Kerry to turn around their season and qualify for a third successive All-Ireland final.
‘We needed to get over the line’

“Cork showed us how to play football in the Munster final replay,” said the Cromane forward. “We never got going really and were well beaten on the day.

“We’re proud Kerrymen and we didn’t want to be part of a Kerry team that lost twice in the one summer to Cork, especially up in Croke Park where we love to (go) up and play.”
