We blew it, says Kearns as Kerry fume over referee

THE reaction of both managers at the end of yesterday’s Munster final in Limerick was as mixed as the football before it.

Kerry’s Jack O’Connor was relieved, disappointed and angry Liam Kearns was just disappointed.

O’Connor was choosing his words judiciously as he tip-toed around a couple of late refereeing decisions which he felt were very harsh. “Having said that it took a lot of character by our lads to get the draw and they showed tremendous battling qualities to stay in the game when it appeared to be going away from them.
