They secured a five-point victory over Erin’s Own in a very mediocre contest at Carrigaline last night.
Two cracking first half goals from Kevin Canty and Eamonn Collins, who expertly converted a penalty, laid the foundations for Rovers’ success but they had to withstand a determined last ditch effort by Erin’s Own before qualifying for the third round.
