Twenty-five years ago this week a Waterford team featuring Peter Queally at midfield exited the championship after just one game.

Just like this year, their 2000 season ended in Cork; on an overcast afternoon in Páirc Uí Chaoimh that failed to properly ignite, they lost out by three points to a Tipperary team managed by Nicky English.
