That this article begins by mentioning the Galway/Kilkenny match is not because the importance of the occasion demands it but because the balance and variety of the sports section call for it. Can’t have everything here about what’s going on in Munster.
Granted, the likelihood that Sunday’s pairing in Salthill would be repeated in the Leinster final increased on the back of the outcome in Wexford Park last Sunday. Parity there left both the hosts and Dublin already trailing with the stagger unwound. That said, let’s not regard the meeting of Kilkenny and Wexford in the closing round as anything less than live and dangerous. For the former.
