Angry Fans

He casts his eye over your comments and gives his own critical analysis of the goings on throughout the world of football. You may agrewith him or then again you may not.

This week Ireland’s bad fortune; Lansdowne Road not needed; Duff’s tackle says it all; Anelka is total class; Dunne a man with a big heart; Stephen Ireland’s interview on why he won’t play; Well done to The Irish Examiner; Mourinho for Utd; Cost of international friendlies is huge for Gunners; Maradona is a disaster waiting to happen; Tevez has won it all time to go; In Rafa we trust and all that.

The Letter of the Week goes to Ryan L, Cork. Get in touch with your postal address and our magnificent prize will be winging its way to you before you know it.

I WAS truly worried on Saturday morning that Ireland would put in a brave performance against the French, only to lose to a moment of class. In the event we lost to a moment of outrageous bad fortune when Anelka’s speculative shot was diverted past Shay Given. But it’s not over yet lads. We have surely had all the bad luck that’s coming our way.

OUR SHOUT: Love that "no relation", Billy. Nice to see the Angry Fans coming over all upbeat and supportive, as they were from beginning to end in Croker. In a sense, the worst has already happened for the boys in green. Preventing France from scoring in Dublin was the top priority on Saturday. But, now that they have, the Irish have nothing to lose in Paris. Like the goalkeeper facing the penalty shoot-out, they can't be villains but can still be heroes. Advantage Les Bleus, for sure, but hope springs eternal.
